Google Pay-Per-Click is a paid service that Google offers. What is does is increase your businessess visibility on the internet by placing your ads at the very top of Googles first page. This happens becase you are paying for your "search terms".
When I say "search terms", the following is an example:
You own a plumbing company in Granbury, Texas. We would set up a search term called "Plumbers in Granbury Texas". This search term is what a person is searching for on the internet by entering that search term in the search box on Google's home page.
With Pay-Per-Click, your company name will then appear in the top 5 positions at the top of the first page on Google Search.
Your search terms price per click is calculated, depending on how many people are searching for that information. The cost can vary, but what if it doubles your business?

Summary
It is all up to you to determine what your advertising budget is for your company. Given my experience, I can tell you that the more you advertise, the more your business will grow. The one thing that will grow your business faster than anything is word of mouth. However, you have to be seen first and that occurs by advertising.
